（I am in the middle near John.It is not very clear.)Last term, Ms.Mitshrich told us there had the volunteer work. Half of my class, went to the school every Saturday morning , and we worked until the noon, sometimes maybe later.Our work is not difficult . We had this chance to be an artist.Our work is to paint. The things we paint on are the walls. The walls are the direction of the GCA.
It was the winter , and the weather was very cold , we should get up early in the morning , and work outside the building. Even though it was sunny ,but we wore a lot of clothes, everyone was cold. However, we still had a happy time during the volunteer work. We paint like an artist. I think it is very funny to paint .We used big brushes , and mixed with the pigment.We paint the wall with the white first because the original wall is a hollow rectangular block which is made of the wood.Our goal was to make these hollow rectangular block to become the colorful wall. We painted the white first , then we used the dark green and the dark brown to made some bricks on them.
Our hands were very cold , we could not put our hands into the pockets because we needed to use our poor hands to paint them . Our hands became red in the cold wind but we must continue to work. It is the first time i felt the difficulty of the work , especially it was the winter and we worked outside , how tough we were. We could not give up , we are the workers now. To make the GCA more beautiful is our duty , is why we did this . I kept working . The others were working so hard , too. Nobody gave up . We often chated with each other and worked at the same time , it could make us more relaxed .
Painting the wall was not the thing for one person to do , we should work with a group , 1 person mixed the color , the other 2 or 3 person used brushed to paint them carefully , and we needed 1 person to clean the dirty water. Before i came to here , i thought painting is an easy thing to do , just using the brush to paint , and can paint whatever we want . When i painted them , i felt i was wrong ,painting is not an easy thing to do . We should care about the color and care about how we can make the proper color and how can we paint them on the right way .We needed to be very careful to paint everywhere , because if somewhere is not painted well or carefully , it should affect the whole effect. We were very careful to paint it , and we worked very well into a group . We helped each other also.
From this experience , i learned a lot . To do a job is not an easy thing , especially we want to make the things perfect. We should pay more attention into the details , and we cannot be careless . We should be careful everytime. The environment of the work is that we cannot change , so we just overcome it . We cannot complain so much because we worked not for ourselves , we worked for others . Since we accept the work , we must do well .To be responsible to ourselves. Wherever we work, whatever we work , we must be responsible, we must try our best to do .
