Zhao Bing is a Landscape architect who

graduated from Nanjing Forestry University.

Last Monday , he came to our school and gave us a lecture of Landscape architect .We were very excited because he is outstanding when we knew the introduction about him.

He used to PPT to show us something about the landscape . He put emphasis on Su Zhou Landscape.

He asked us :" What is the landscape?" Of course we knew what that is , but we couldn't say some specific words to describe it . He explained very patiently . He started from the Chinese words of Landscape to explain to us and we knew Landscape is a very broad classification of landscaping that includes such subsets as landscape design, garden design and many other subcategories of landscaping. Landscape architecture is, by definition, is the art, design, planning, preservation, management and rehabilitation of land as well as the design of human built constructs.We all listened very cafefully.

Then , he introduced to us what the main types of the Chinese Landscape are. They are : Royal Landscape ; Private Landscape ; Landscape of temple ; Landscape of scenery and some places of interest . He told us that Su Zhou Landscape is the ancient Landscape and the ancient forest . It has the long history and is really a place of interest in Su Zhou , in China ! Su Zhou Landscape is a great design and a wonderful construct .

At last , he introduced the characteristics of the art of the ancient Landscape . The design of the ancient Landscape is not very easy , and the construct of the ancient Landscape is very fussy. It is a long time to build a successful Landscape like this . He also taught how to appreciate a Landscape .

Last Monday's lecture let us know a lot about the Landscape. The professor showed us a lot of representational pictures and photos , we learnt so many from looking at the pictures and listening to the professor Zhao . That was really a good and wonderful lecture and we enjoyed it very much .

I think art is a not a easy lesson . I learnt a lot about the art . I admire Mr. Zhao very much . He is very professional of Landscape and i think he must put a lot effort on it , so that i know , to do one thing successfully , we must put effort . No effort , no successful ! I will learn the spirit of digging into something of Mr Zhao , i want to be as successful as him .

Exhibition,,,

On Thursday afternoon, we came to the Nanjing University exhibition building to appreciate artworks about famous artist Wu Weishan. Wu Weishan is very famous not only in China but also in another countries.He made a lot of artworks by himself and the artwork of him are very similarty in spirit .He created a feeling of the artwork ,they are really good artworks .

Although the weather was not good and very cold ,the wind was also strong , everyone was very excited.Before entering the building, we took photos with each other and we looked at the several artworks outside the building . We saw the famous artworks "Sleeping child" ,"Lao-tzui",etc.We took photos with the artworks outside for each other.

When we got into the building ,we saw a lot of artworks , some are made of bronze ;some are made of marble ;some are made of mud.There are different kinds of the artworks. Some are small, some are big, but they are all engraved thoroughly. The artworks all put in the exhibition building tidily.

The Curator kept explaining each famous and exquisite artwork. We were listening very carefully, and we were recording some important points. We took a lot of photos in the building with the artworks. I have never seen so amazing artworks like these.The artwork of the scientist Yang Zhenning looked like the real person very much.

"Lao-tzu" is the most impressive artwork in my mind.It is vert imaginative and creative .I like its empty body best. I think the artish did it by intention .The artist created the feeling of leniency and great or varied learning. Lao-tzu was a famous thinker, he kept creating new ideas and minds. He changed the people from ancient times a lot , and effect us a lot.

Luckily , before we getting out the building, we met the famous artist Wu Weishan. He is the artist of these nice sculpture.Everyone let him to autograph , and me too. I squeezed with excitement , at last , i got. However , his signature made me cannot understand , so i just thought it was also an artwork but i was still very happy , and i took photos with him too . Unluckily , the photo was not very clear. After a little , he went to the office

I enjoyed the artwork very much . Wu Weishan is really a wonderful artist. He is the pride of Chinese.

Next day ,when we were having planning lesson, Ms Bartell told us that she went to Wu's house , and saw his wife and child.We envied that Ms Bartell could go to his house.

We thought that is really fantastic .Unlikely,we are not lucky enough to go to his house.

This experience let me know more about the artworks and l had learnt how to appreciate an artwork. Thanks for GCAcan give us a chance like this .I hope that i can have more experiences and chances to do that in future.I really enjoyed today 's exhibition and activities.
