Exhibition---Nanjing Museum

On 14th February , Penny and i went to the Nanjign Museum .Nanjing Museum is one of biggest museum in Nanjing and it has so many exhibition,they are different kinds of art exhibition.The museum is at Zhong Shan Men .We went there by the bus . The weather is sunny day , and at about 2 p.m ,is very hot ,we arrived at that time ,too.

The museum is very big .There was so many kinds of exhibition .There has the exhibition of pottery and porcelain , the exhibition of the embroider,and also has the exhibition of Wu Weishan.






I like the exhibition very much . There are a lot of ancient things, such as what people used to drink , to sleep ,and there are a lot of things what the padshah used before .There was a carving Jade picture and it is about how ancient people made the jade.The picture shows us a whole process of making it ,and i like the picture because it makes me understand that make a jade is not simple , it has a lot of process, and the picture of the process is like the real one .



We also saw another kinds of exhibitions and a lot exhibits.



This is the Craved Throne in Qing Dynasty ,A.D.1644-1911.It is very luxurious and beautiful , the carving is very exquisite and careful.

This is the Bianzhong of Zhangsun ,a chime of 9 bells ,spring and autumn Period ,770-460 B.C Unearthed in Chenqiao ,Liu he ,Jiang su .This is very famous in the chinese and physic.

This is the Famille Rose Globular Vase With Peach Design in Guangxu Reign ,A.D.1875-1908 Qing Dynasty. I think the vase is very beautiful and such a big vase .

Anyway , i had a good time here with my friend Penny , and we enjoyed visiting exhibition very much .This is a very good time for me to learn such a lot of ancient things about China and some mordern arts .

Italian Food

During the spring holiday , i went to the Italian restaurant with my best friend Penny . The name of the restaurant is Babela's kitchen .It is on the 3rd floor of Jin Lun shopping mall, and the mall is opposite to the Golden Eagle international shopping mall .We often go there to have lunch or dinner . On 6th February , i went here with Penny again ,and we enjoyed eating very much .

Babela has a very good envrionment .It is quiet and comfortable ,and some english songs , some jazz songs make me feel cool .There has a lot of famous Italian food such as pasta and pizza. We ordered noodles and pizza . We both thought the noodles and pizza here are quite delicious.I ordered this noodles and it has special taste.There is cream on the noodles and it has the bacon , mushroom .The taste of this noodles is not the same as the chinese noodles. Chinese noodles almost have a same taste ,like salty noodles .However this noodles tasted both sweet and salty ,so i thought it is quite a special food .

The price is very cheap i think .This noodles just cost me 13 yuan , and there alway has a lot discount .During the spring holiday , each pizza just cost us 19 yuan and the size of pizza is not small. We ate a lot and we were very full.

Even though a lot of things of this restaurant is very good , the service of the restaurant is not good. Every time ,i want to call the waiters and waitresses,they don't come until i called them for 2or 3 times . I don't why , i even shouted. Just when i want to check , and they come very quickly . That's really funny .

Anyway , this is still a good restaurant , not expensive , and can make us feel full , i advice my friends to go after i having meals there .

Community Involvement & Employability Skills

On this Christmas day ,i and Lawrence went to U.B.C coffee to help for free . When we finished the school that day , we took the taxi to go to the U.B.C coffee , and changed the school uniforms into the costumes quickly . He played a role of Santa Claus ,and i played the role of Christmas grandmother .Our job was sending gifts to customers and let them draw the Winner.

The customers were getting more and more ,and we are more and more busy .We walked around the U.B.C coffee with smile , and said "Marry Christmas " to everyone.We send each children Christmas toy for free and they were all very happy .We walked in front of every table and let them draw the winner after they finishing having dinner.The prizes were very good and i thought everyone wanted to be the winner .

We were busy and tired but we were so happy to see everyone was with a smile.Some customers wanted to have one more time to draw the winner ,and that was unfair to others ,but they still wanted and made us wonder . We didn't know what to do ,so we asked the manage , luckily ,at last we solved the problems. The mood of that day was very high ,even though every waiter and waitress ,including us were very tired and busy , nobody wanted to stop ,nobody wanted to have a rest . We liked this feeling of busy of happy . We worked for up to 5 hours there .

I am very happy to have this chance to be the volonteer on chirstmas day in U.B.C coffee . I learned a lot of things. During the work , it must have some problems , we should study that how to slove them and make bad things get better . I also learned the responsibility , it is important in our work . If i accept a work , i must have the responsibility , it is my duty to do best . Lawrance and i were work together favorably .At the end of that day , the U.B.C coffee sent the gifts to us and we were very happy .It is my first time to work like the real waitress , and it is my first time to face the society. I was successful .


I went to the Ping'an Animal hospital to do the volonteer work .When i walked into the hospital ,the smell of the Animal was very bad and even made me sick . I saw a lot of dogs and cats, they were ill and some of them cannot move .I asked the manage what i can do for them , he asked me to wash some of them and give food to them .

In fact , i was afraid of animals , i came to Ping'an Animal hospital to do the volonteer because i want to challenge myself and overcome that mind . I tried my best to help the animals , help the hospital . Firstly , i could not do very well and even didn't know what to do , but the worker here were very patient to teach me and tell me what to do . I understood quickly and could do well.

This chance , i studied a lot , i overcame the fear of the animals , and i help so many animal , feed them , washed them .Even though i hate the smell from animals , but i was also very happy to help them . This is quite a big challenge to myself that i can do so much for them , before ,i even could not touch them . I am glad to do this and i like animals more and more .

Education & Career Planning

School clubs, i joined some,such as Design club,piano club,cooking club,etc.However, piano club everyweek had activities,some clubs almost never have activities.

I like piano very much .When i was young , i want to study piano,but the house was not big enough to put a piano , so father asked me to study Gu-Zheng.After playing 6 years on Gu-zheng,i thought it was boring, i learned the piano with myself ,and sometimes ask the friends beside me and who can play the piano very well. I admire them , i want to do the same as them , i want to play the piano on the stage , i want to make the concent in front of my families , but i had no time to play the piano , because the study was so busy and we always had a lot of homework to do .However, i never stop wanting to play the piano,when i was in grade 7,i study by a teacher who is in Nanjing art college. After studying some days , i can play the piano, but not very good.

When i am a member of GCA, i joined the piano club first, it was my dream. In this club , i met people that they are really good at playing the piano, such as :Mark, (Grade 11) and Raymond(GRADE 11) ,Alex(Grade 10) ,Kavin (Grade 10 ). They are the good players and they can play different kinds of piano music . I learn from them .Our "teacher"Mark ,taught us sometimes , and if i have some problems , he would help me and teach me carefully , he is really a good teacher.

We often have activities ,usually at noons.We chatted our experience with each other, and we took turns to play the piano , the leader Mark and Alex asked us to play one by one .First time , i was a little nervous , but the second time , the third time , i got better . I just can play "3 bears "before , but now i can play some difficult music , such as "The marriage in the dream " ,"The memory of childhood",etc.The members in this club all like listening to the piano by playing from leaders . We always sit together and listen quietly.

When i joined this club , my skill of playing the piano improved , and i can play some more piano music . After exercising , now i can play the piano in front of a lot of peple , and never be shy . I am more confident now and i believe i can do better , i can do it .

I am glad to have this chance to meet so many master-hands of playing the piano ,and i learned the patient from the leaders. They are really the good teachers . I always think , if one day , i can be the leader ,can i be as good as them ?

Thank them for teaching me so much and let me know so much .

I join the TV series Club ,too. We have activities on Tuesday afternoon in the ART room. The leader of this club is Grace, who is my classmate .

We always watch some English or American TV series without watching Chinese title. This can practice our English speaking and listening .The TV series are very famous and we are really interested in them , such as PRISON BREAK. It is an American TV series and it is very interesting , it is full of exciting .

Anyway , we all have a good time at TV series Club and our English improved .We are interested in the TV series and we love this Club , we can learn English within a happy and relaxed mood.

Personal Health——Physical Activity

Happy new year ! In this new year , now ,i am a VIP of the Crowne Plaza Heath Club in Jinying International hotel from 24th Jan and i have completed 20 hours in the whole spring holiday .Penny joined with me together.I don't want to stay in the warm room and do not move ,just watch tv and sleep this winter, i don't want that . I want to move, i want to doing exercise , i want to make me healtheir ,i want to have a nice body , so i went to the Health Club.

There are a lot of Fitness equipments and a swimming pool. The Club is not very big , but i think that is enough because there was not a lot of people there ,especially it is the new year holiday now.The settings are all new ,and there are 3 tvs, so we can do exercise and watch tv at the same time .The tv has the Satellite so we can see the channels from all over the world ,and can improve my English when i watch some foreign channels .

Penny and i almost go there everyday .We don't want to stop .I tried to do different exercise, i tried each fitness equipments .I walked and ran on the running machine ;i kept trampling on the treadmill ; i played hu la hoop for up to 100 rounds ;i lift dumbbell 40 come-and-go each time; i did sit-up for 40 times everytime ;i also did some exercise by using fitness equipments ;i sometimes did yoga , but i cannot do it very well , i just know a little about it . We usually stay there for up to 3 or 4 hours from morning to afternoon,but sometimes we stay there just for up to 1 or 2 hours because we would do something in the afternoon.After exercising, we always have a shower in the Club because we were very hot and had a lot of sweat .Our sportswear sometimes get wet .

After these days' exercise ,i have learned a lot of things.During the exercise ,i got tired easily , but i didn't give up, i want to train my willpower .I know that when we do everything,we must put all effort into it .We should have firm belief ,and try our best to do it , do not give up easily ,we should face the difficulty.Even though i was very tired , i kept doing ,kept exercising , and never give up. I must and i believe myself i can do it .

I think it is really a good chance for me to learn so much , and improved my willpower , i think i can do everything if i try my best ,if i put all effort into .Now, i am not afraid of cold ,of wind , my body got training, and i am healtheir . I think ,exercise cannot be stopped.I must keep it , keep fit .If i suddenly stop it ,i will be fatter ,too. I will keep it ,keep exercising.
